Job Description

The Niskayuna Central School District is now accepting applications for a Summer School Security Monitor.

ASSIGNMENT: Niskayuna High School; 7/6/2026 - 8/1/2026; 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college with an Associate’s degree and one (1) year of experience in youth service work, recreation, education, or any other activity involving service to or activities with youth; OR
2. Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, and two (2) years of experience in youth service work, recreation, education, or any other activity involving service to or activities with youth, which involved setting limits, enforcing rules, or applying defined sanctions; OR
3. Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, possession of New York State Security Guard Certification, and two (2) years of experience in youth service work, recreation, education, or any other activity involving service to or activities with youth; OR
4. Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and two (2) years of experience as a Security Guard, Security Worker or closely related field, whose experience shall have involved service to, interaction with or activities with youth; OR
5. An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), (C), and (D), above

Note: Appropriate part-time and/or volunteer experience, which can be verified, will be accepted on a prorated basis.
