Job Description

The Niskayuna Central School District is now accepting applications for Substitute Groundsworkers (Seasonal) for the 2026-2027 school year.

These positions will be used on an as-needed basis during peak winter and spring seasons to support existing staff.  Applicants for these roles should have open availability with an interest in last-minute reporting expectations.

ASSIGNMENT: Districtwide

This position involves responsibility for performing a variety of routine, semi-skilled maintenance tasks in connection with the upkeep of grounds around a particular building or park.  The work is performed under general supervision of a superior who outlines policy, with leeway allowed for performing tasks.  Direct supervision may be exercised over one or more subordinate laborers.  Does related work as required.work as required.
