Job Description

The Niskayuna Central School District is now accepting applications for Substitute Maintenance Grounds and Courier Assistant for the 2024-2025 school year.

ASSIGNMENT: NCSD District Wide

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: This is semi-skilled work involving responsibility for performing a wide variety of building and grounds maintenance and manual labor tasks.  The incumbent in this position drives a variety of vehicles in conjunction with responsibilities and performs courier tasks. Work is performed under the general supervision of a superior in accordance with established practices.  General supervision may be exercised over subordinate personnel.  Does related work as required.

Job Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; and 

2. One year of experience in building maintenance, trade or grounds work or a combination thereof.  

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: At the time of appointment and throughout tenure of appointment, must have and maintain a New York State Motor vehicle Operator’s license (Class 5).
